Check your mains supply voltage. I think that's the culprit! B

Set it all up, then Unplug and power down your Avant for at least a few minutes. When you plug it back in, first make sure the ATV is on and the front light is lit steady. The avant will then recognize the new input at the component inputs. After you see the ATV, the go to Setting and General and perform the firmware update. It will take a few minutes

Get a new power supply and replace it. B

I think you should have looked at the discount pricing on a later model BV9...if I was in this situation. Barry

I have the folliwing system: BV9; Penta-front; 6000 rear; Beolab 11 sub (1) I added Beolab 4 as surrounds, and made the 6000's "back". 4's are on B&O stands Nice thing was BS3 did not require reinput of distances for speakers already in. Amplitude was carried over as well. I *like* the 5.1, EX and IIx matrixed to 7.1 for all sources

Sometimes the apple network admin or routers prevent the Beomaster 5 from obtaining a lease on the network. I chnaged my router to A NETGEAR, AND used it's network admin and everything became instantly fine. Barry

My BM1 exhibited Exactly the same behavior. Turned out to be the internal pcb and replacing the external power supply. FWIW Barry

adjusting speaker distance is the Beosystem 3's way of handling sound "phase", i.e., ensuring that the envelope of sound frequencys arrives more or less in phase to to chosen listening position. Although B&O's method is somewhat gross in correction by audiophile standards, most any attempt to increase the precision of phase adjustment
