• Re: Out of date so quick

I'd agree that the rapidly changing world of technology as regards TV's makes the potential B&O purchase a contentious one - take for instance the just discontinued Beovision 8-40 at A$8,000.00 when one can get the likes of a HX929 Sony Bravia, or Panasonic VT30 for around the A$3k mark or less depending upon screen size and retail discounts

  • Re: BL9: Speaker adjustment

I hope my thoughts dont seem unhelpful, or disrespectful, but if these were my new speakers, the last thing I would want to do is get out the service manual and start futzing about with the trim pots as regards individual speaker driver balance/alignment levels. B&O will carefully calibrate the levels to the master as part of the manufacturing process

  • Re: B&O News
One of the fundamental problems that we're now coming up against is that the buyers who are coming into the market and replacing our old buyers have never been quality driven. They have been taught to pay a lot of lip service to quality, which confuses some people, but not to actually seek it out and pay the

  • Re: Speaker selection on a 7-40 setup
Hi there, some advice please. I have a Beovision 7-40 Mk3 with a Beolab 7.4, driving a pair of front Beolab 8000's and a Beolab 2. At the rear of what is a square are a pair of Beolab 6000's. When i select speaker setup 4 i get all 4 main speakers working, with the 6000's which are normally relatively muted

  • Re: BEOLAB 5 IS A BARGAIN !
I think there is room for both - the Linn fanatic will be unimpressed with the B&O system sound and the B&O fanatic will despise the compromises to life necessitated by the Linn system. Both will be partly correct - the B&O will sound extremely good and the Linn will no doubt allow tweaking of the sound in

  • Re: Flash your B&O!
My vintage B&O moves into the main listening room, and is connected to analog speakers that create a soundscape quite reminiscent in the top and mid-tones of the BL5s they have replaced - though not delivering quite the same authoritative punch in the netherlands of sound!
Goodness soundproof.... what

  • Re: Superaudio CD on BV-8-40
Hallo, I have a Sony BDP-373 bluray player (same as a 370) connected to my BV-8-40. Last night I recieved a superaudio CD which I like to play. However no sound is passed on when I select the supaudio cd layer of the disk. Does anybody know if the Beovision is able to play the superaudio cd layer? Do I need to make a setting

  • Re: B&O fan from Slovenia
Morning ear exercise!
I never fail to delight in pictures of your system! Just such a nice setup visually as well as audibly, no doubt! BUT, I spy some Beolab 9's there - surely you're not thinking of downsizing from the Lab 5's? Kind regards John...

  • Re: New Products
Totally agree with you Jez and to think I nearly bought a Serene phone when they first launched but I pulled out last minute due to the price which I felt really bad about paying. Same with BeoSound 6 I guess its wrong to fool people by putting your name on a Samsung product - very bad management there! Mind you the
