I’ve just bought a pair of Penta MK II’s and connected them via powerlink to a BM7000. My joy at finally getting a pair of these speakers was short lived though. They appear to have two faults that I’m hoping someone can assist me with. A crackling popping sound comes from the drivers of one of the speakers when turned on. The volume

Thanks for the link. I have successfully repaired the "No contact" isssue. For me, the tricky part was removing the metal shield that covers the receiver circuit. Once removed it was plainly obvious that the two SMD capacitors had leaked. Both visually and by the fishy odour. I desoldered them and cleaned the board and components with Isopropyl

I have just aquired a Beolink 7000. However, two way communication does not appear to work. I've gone into setup, removed and re-added components. Still get "No Contact" message. I have a MCP5500 and two way comms works with the BM7000. I gather from this forum that this is a common fault with the BL7000 and that replacing the capacitors

I have a Beomaster 7000 and use an MCP 5500 and BL5000 to control it. I particularly like the MCP 5500 as it displays elapsed time when playing a CD or the frequency of the radio station. I have a Beomaster 5500 and am looking at upgrading the speakers. Issue is that the ones I am contemplating buying (Non B&O) are 4 Ohm impedance. Has anyone tried 4 Ohm speakers on a BM5500? Would I risk damaging the amp? Does the amp have a safety cut out? etc.

I have a Master Control Panel 5500 that has a non funtioning volume ring ie. nothing happens when you turn it. All other keys work fine. I've installed new batteries; checked the micro switch with a multimeter and appears fine. Having searched the forums, this sounds like not an uncommon fault. However, I'm not sure where to go from here. Could

Yes, I'm aware that it loads upside down. There is an article out by Anthony Garza about servicing the motor. However the procedure on removing the motor is a little vague. Thanks.

I've recently purchased a Beogram CD50. However when attempting to play a disc, 1 is displayed then CD is ejected. I've taken the cover off and observed that the motor spins and a clicking noise heard from laser unit. From what I have read, often the motor is at fault and needs to be taken apart, cleaned and relubed. What I am unsure about is
