Hi I have just bought a used Avant 32 VCR. The VCR was defect so I have replaced it with the VCR from my old Avant (where the tube has died!)... The VCR is playing without issues however the lit doesn't open when I try to eject the tape. Anyone know what might be wrong? Could I have done something wrong when I replaced the VCR? Thanks to all of you for your suggestions and feedback. The Avant I have today is about 10 years old and is not the RF version so you are probably right that it is not worth replacing the tube. I'll look out for a used Avant 32 RF or a BV3.
