The Beogram is being returned, so I have listed it on ebay as a spares or repair. even though it does work sort of. I will have a good look at it this weekend and update you, thanks for the advice, Matt

I did place a small piece of bubblewrap inside to prevent the swing arm from moving though

As for the transit screws/fitting, no, it was missing on the player, so I thought it unwise to interfere with it, oh what a mistake I have made !!

His report is that it plays a cd for give or take one minute and then a crackling sound comes from the speaker ? Matt

No my colleague has had a look, the mechanism is floating correctly and the laser moves ok he thinks it's electrical?? Has anyone else had similar issues ? Help and advice is always greatly apreciated, Matt

Thanks Dillen, yes it may have been jolted during transit and become inhibited

Hi everyone, I have recently sent a Beogram CDX 2 by DHL to a fellow ebay member. The CDX arrived but now the player will not play a complete track, it stops working with a cracking noise coming from the speakers at around the one minute mark give or take a few seconds, has anyone come across this fault and have a quick fix soloution, else a full refund

Hi Dillen, I took shots before and after the repair, using a mic, laptop and Adobe software. I don't think it was very conclusive. The shot on the left is without an ABR, and the other after my repair. I have since written to B&O asking them for advice on the material to use. Their reply was that any appropriate material can be used ?!
