Are you sure it was floor stands that were mentioned? The ceiling poles are chrome (or bare steel more likely), but I don't know of any others... but I think I've seen the later floor stands that greatly resemble the stands for an MX TV, with the vertical pole in gray.
I missed the 2333 in the aforementioned manual the first time, but having another look, it's all there on page 2... And from what I see (I don't have that much expertise in circuitry diagrams, though) I think the 2333 IS able to work on 230V. At least, the diagram shows wiring with 2x60V (=120V, US mains

Welcome and thanks for joining as a silver member, it is greatly appreciated! The type 2333 is mentioned in the service manual for Beomaster 5500 we have on site - it is not complete, but the schematics are there. Unfortunately it seems like the US type 2333 is only prepared for 120V operation, and the transformer doesn't have the alternative primary
Yes - it's the last day of the month, and since 2007 we've been giving away Prizes on this very day. So, if you still can't remember there's really no hope for you now !!..
Not to be a smart*** or anything, but this is only the second time ever it's on the 29th of February!
Moxey, my only dilema now is will the extra 6 inches for a 10-46 really be worth it? The Beolab 11 is a given The "are the 6 inches worth it" is one discussion i will not be having with Mrs Chris
Unless I miscalculated, there's 37% more viewable surface area in the 46", if you want to think

Well done finding my first thread! I'm pretty sure you have the regular dried out lubrication problem with the pin that lifts the tone arm - see this old thread (it's on Beogram 1902, but the turntable section in your 2800 is pretty much identical).

Oh, the remote was that new - an obvious warranty job then. I hope you get forward with the BS9000 issue as well.

Clever idea, I can't see any problem in it technically! However, I would lift the anode of D31 instead of cutting the PCB track - same result, even easier to undo without any trace.
Have you seen these on Ebay Jacques? Were these the 500E ones?
I can agree with the seller that I would struggle to find another pair in that condition... Unless I can find the 4WD where the other woofer apparently came from

Seems like the information just doesn't time out like it usually does - "Who's online" is still showing members that last did something 4½ hours ago. A thing of the past in a few days anyway
