I used to get everything new for myself, but I can't justify it any more... some products have gone up by £600 last time I checked, its the same as loosing out on getting another pair of BeoLab 6000s from eBay for that price! I've had 7 Avants and a couple BV1s and none of them went wrong. My first avant was an old 28 VCR RF and that has lasted for ages... perhaps its a bit (lot) of bad luck?

Thanks Stefan, Ill check the cables when I get home... but I got both cables from LifeStyle and from Sounds Heavenly... Ill try and connect the BeoLab 2000 directly to the ouverture and see what happens. Yes, you are correct, I got the BeoLab 2000 second hand... which is always a worry...
