  • Linn FLAC files

Has anyone tried or been able to play the studio master quality FLAC files? I was looking at them on the Linn Records website. You can download 24-bit 96KHz (or 88.2KHz) files of the music. I downloaded a test file and could convert and store it in iTunes as a 24bit 88.2KHz aiff file although it won't load onto my iPod. It appears then my iMac and

  • Automotive head units

In the Audi cars, even if it has B&O speakers, the control head units are still the same right? Who makes these? It doesn't appear to be B&O. I always thought the center section of the Beosound Century would be nice to have in the car- it's about the right height for the single-DIN slot size.

AT: Alex: But then its all about design again. Or not ? Good point. IMHO currently B&O mostly want to sell their products only by the design, and that's the problem: It's not enough. A B&O must be an artwork. For me, it means not just a good design, but a real timeless design, and also a technological perfection. IMHO You also must feel

  • Re: BeoCenter 9300/9500

I have a 9300; when it came there were two small screws on the bottom that go up into the CD transport and hold it down (normally it floats a bit). I would imagine the 9500 had this also. There was a warning label reminding the purchaser to remove them, so check on that. I would imagine the seller has long lost the screws but a dealer might be able

  • Re: The Future of Music and Video.

One of the things about B&O is that there isn't just one key feature- it's the sound, design, usability, and integration all together that make it so nice. I asked my wife today about our system and what she liked about it. (System is BC9300 & BL8000's in living room, BL3500s in master bath and kitchen, and CX-50's in family

  • Re: New iPod Speakers System

I think the reason the iPod sits in front is that it makes the ergonomics of operating it better. The iPod is designed to be operated by your thumb as your handle cradles it; if you mount it into something and have to use your index finger to operate it, it isn't so nice.

  • Re: Audio set-up

I have the 8000's and would like to add the Beolab 2 someday, but I was wondering- don't they have crossover settings for the beolab 1's and 6000's? Have they updated that for 8000's, 3's, and 9's?
