Necrothread! Woo! Anyway, how do we do the upgrade? It can't possibly just be "take it to the shop." Is it a chip that's replaced, like the BL3500? Or some software that's uploaded? If it's the software, then how do they upload it? SD card?

My GF nearly flipped out when I bored a couple of holes through the stone walls to run the Beolink cable through the back rooms. That'll teach her for complaining about the "ugly exposed cable running down my hallway."

Just wanted to let you know, I got around to this a few weeks ago and made my own cable using Vienna's info above. Grand total: $12AUD since I splurged for the B&O DIN connector before noticing Altronics had the exact same thing for $2.50. It works like a champ. I clearly need a proper workbench though...

It seems any time someone is looking for info here and a non-B&O device is mentioned, despite the logical arguments for the superior functionality of said device, someone comes and makes a comment that it is pure pro-B&O propaganda with no argument in favor of the usefulness of the aforementioned B&O device. It's like some kind of beoworld

Funny. Yesterday, I was listening to Metallica's Death Magnetic (yes I know) at a friend's place and it was clipping and sounding just generally terrible.
