  • Re: Best center speaker choice with this setup?

Macjohnny1, I don't know about the Beosystem 1, but I'm in the process of trying to configure a new AV set-up and trying to figure the best way to use two separate speakers as a center channel in a BV7/BS3 combo (i.e. I'm trying to set-up a poor man's "phantom center channel" as described by Soundproof, but using BL3s instead

  • Re: Question for BV-7 owners

That's good news as I'd really like to turn on the speakers without ever turning on the TV panel and letting the Apple TV act like a stereo (that's guided via WiFi and an iPod Touch). What do you guys think about this idea: What would happen if I connected the Apple TV to two different ports on the BS3 of the BV7? I'd designate one a

  • Re: Question for BV-7 owners

Stefan, If the screen was already off (let's say the entire TV was off with the red B&O light on), would hitting "AV-DVD" just turn the speakers on in Speaker 2 without having the screen ever turn on? Mark

  • Re: Question for BV-7 owners

Santi, Thank you for your prompt response. When the CD/DVD/Blu-ray player is doing this, does the smaller screen say "CD" or does it say "DVD"? I'm trying to think of ways to keep the screen from turning on with music (i.e. to in essence make the BV-7 an audio "head" unit). I wonder if I could somehow make an Apple

  • Question for BV-7 owners

When those of you who own a BV7 use the DVD/CD/Blu-ray player to play a CD, does the flat panel come on, or does the TV simply say "CD" and port the sound to speakers sans LCD turning on? TIA, Mark

  • Re: Any news regarding the new B&O subwoofer ?

I'm waiting for this subwoofer as I have a pair of BL3s that I'd like to connect to an iPod dock and have a mini sound system. Would this be possible (i.e. to add a subwoofer to an iPod dock / BL3 combo without having a B&O sound system) or am I kidding myself? M

  • Re: Beo 5 or not? with Sony BDP-S550 and Dish

Razlaw, You probably saw this mentioned last week, but one of the iPhone / iPod Touch remote control applications has just come out of "beta" and it will have the ability to program "macros" in a supposedly simple way that will integrate B&O devices with third party devices. Of course, it won't have B&O IR codes for another

  • Re: Beo 5 or not? with Sony BDP-S550 and Dish

Razlaw, I don't have an answer to your question, and I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I have similar questions about the Beo 5 - namely can it's programability get around some issues like the extra button pushing required when operating the Blu-ray player on the BV-7 with the Beo 4 or execute multiple commands (with third party devices

  • Re: I think this is very good news!

I wonder if we could get Keith Saunders to help these guys? I know I'm being redundant, but for us Apple / B&O guys this could potentially be the bomb if implemented correctly. M
