Any news regarding the new B&O subwoofer ?

My dealer told me it was kind of 'flower shaped' and smaller than the BL2. He liked it a lot. Coming out in Q1 2010.

My dealer told me the same. Less boom than the Beolab 2 and better suited for use with music systems.

I'm waiting for this subwoofer as I have a pair of BL3s that I'd like to connect to an iPod dock and have a mini sound system.  Would this be possible (i.e. to add a subwoofer to an iPod dock / BL3 combo without having a B&O sound system) or am I kidding myself?

BeoNut1, I believe you're already connecting your BL3 to your iPod using some kind of Powerlink to iPod adaptor. With the BL2, it has one input PL and 2 output PL so you could plug the iPod into the BL2, and plug the 2 PL output to your BL3s. That way, the BL2 filters the frequency so it'll deal with the low freq and passing the higher freq to the BL3s.

I belive the launch time will be the same as the BeoSound 5 "light", aka A21, which could be as late as May.

I was told that there is the problem with Power on of the BL2. The BL3 (I had them linked to a Apple Dock before) worked well. But I could not easily connect a BL2 as it would not turn on without a switch on voltage.
