There are several resonance frequencies in a grammophone/pickuparm/cartridge assembly but one of them is around 10 Hz +/-. All records has got a few bumps making the arm moving up and down and the optimal resonance frequency should therefore lie between 10 to 12 Hz. I seem to remember that the new arm and lower weight of the cartridge itself much improved

You probably just need to apply a few drops of acid free oil to the moving parts. There is a picture, somewhere, in an older post about the same problem. In one case I have had to disassemble the mechanism and clean it for accumulated dirt, before I got it to move freely. Best regards Henrik

I recently acquired a Beogram 4000, well 2 actually, from which I have assembled one, that is working and with a working cartridge as well J 1) On the newer version a trimmer was soldered to the back of the main PCB (#4), just above the lower suspension pendulum. Does anyone know what this is for? Should it perhaps be removed? 2) Apparently there were

I have now gotten around working on both machines. I have placed washers under the rubber suspension on the CD 7000, but they might not be thick or high enough, because I still hear the ticking noise. Thank you very much for that piece of information. I'll look into it, as soon as I have some spare time. Regards

I also played a CD with the lid off to be able to actually see for myself if the CD was touching something it shouldn't and that did not seem to be the case. When the tray

Does anyone know whether it is possible to replace the thin foil connecting the LCD with the PCB. I suspect several wires has broken inside the foil, because there are a number of rows and columns not working in the display and not just individual pixels. I went to a repair shop and they told me that it is no longer possible to get spares for this remote

Thank you for your quick reply, but I don't suspect the rubber bands, since the wow I hear is only in one direction and there is only one rubber band for both capstans. Regards

I recently bought a used Beosystem 7000 and there is a couple of issues with it, that I like your opinion on. My Beocord 7000 sounds like there is a bit of wow and/or flutter when it plays in the forward direction, but not when playing in the reverse direction. Does anyone have a clue why this is? My own guess is, that it has something to do with the
