I run a commercial Panasonic plasma display off the BS3. According to my dealer, the more recent SW updates broke compatibility with 3rd party displays, and that the January update would fix that. I'm guessing that's the version 11 you mentioned.

Is a Beosystem 3 software update history kept anywhere on this site? I'm considering updating my BS3 Mark I from SW 5.0.8 to the latest, but don't know what added features and bug fixes I'd get from doing this. Any advice as to whether updating would be a mistake? -- Paul

Might need the drivers' surrounds replaced if they have foam rot. Still worth it though.

At least they're consistant. My first purchase was back in 1990 when I bought, among other things, a VX5000 VCR. Within 24 hours I ran into a bug in their firmware for scheduled recordings of weekly shows. They had a fix, but whoever heard of buggy VCR software for a basic function? I have the opportunity to buy a pair of RL60.2 speakers, but specifically want to wall mount them, and they don't come with any mounts (just the built-in stand). Have any of you tried making your own wall mounts for these, or have any other suggestions? I've looked on eBay and on stbbrackets web sites, as well as my local dealer, and it seems

I've heard that the newer BS3 software updates have dropped the ability to turn on/off non-B&O plasma/LCD displays. Anyone know about this? -- Paul

Karel, I'm not saying add a music player interface. That would indeed be silly. I, and presumably Chris, are talking about music information shown for streaming internet radio music. When I listen to Absolute Radio on my computer through iTunes, it shows the song title, album and artist, which is really helpful if it's something I haven't
