• Re: Receiver to use with BL8000

I realized I actually have a decent soundcard I can use, hadn't thought of that. Focusrite Sapphire LE. Should be good enough! Thanks for all the advice
Headphone Output is no good idea as this has wrong line level. Take any DAC and control volume level via the MB Pro or use an Apple remote with you MB Pro - should also work.
I don't think I can control the volume from my computer if I'm outputting digital signals through an optical cable.

I found this neat little thing: http://www.nuforce.com/hp/products/iconhdp/index.php Will this work well if I plug in my BL8000 to the headphone output?

  • Re: Receiver to use with BL8000

Connecting my computer directly is NOT a good idea. I will either use an older iMac for my system which has a pretty noisy and bad output. Or I will use my newer Macbook Pro laptop which has a better output but means I will have to to unplug it all the time. I should probably get a good DAC. What should I get? I would probably need something with a

I don't mind going with an older but high quality receiver but obviously I would have to get an external AD/DA converter with that to get good sound through my computer. What is a good solution?

  • Receiver to use with BL8000

Hi everyone and thanks for being so helpful all the time :) I know this might be a very broad question but I don't really know these things very well. I have a pair of older Beolab 8000 that I need to hook up to a receiver but I really don't know what to get. I don't care much for 5.1 sound or a lot of features, I just need something that

  • Re: Remote Sony Blu-ray

I managed to solve it somehow. Now it works decent enough. It's not great but it works!

  • Remote Sony Blu-ray

Hi there! Just bought a Sony BDP-S570 to got with my Beovision 10. Everything works great except for the remote. It's connected through HDMI to my Beovision and I also connected with the IR-cable that comes with the television and attached it right in front of the IR sensor. I think it's all set-up properly. I went through the menu, set up the

I won't be going for the LG, now I'm looking at the Sony BDP-S570. I just didn't like the LG, ugly interface and bad build quality. Oppo seems great but I can't seem to motivate the price difference and it lacks a few features that both the LG and Sony has. Sure, it has a great DVD-upscaler but the Sony seems pretty good at that too

I have also looked at Sony BDP-S570. Anyone have experience with that player? It looks a lot nicer than the LG and I've seen some good reviews of it.
