Very reliable machine, basically a Philips CD104. If the fuse blows violently, and goes black,be suspicious of the filter caps 2701/2703.Also,the mains switch may be arcing. The actual transformer may be shorted turns, but this is unusual with this machine. Leaking psu caps don't normally cause blowing fuses in a conventional designed supply.Check

Are you technical, and do you have a service manual?

Is this a 6.35 jack socket with integral switches? B&O used some Japanese sockets, and also British (Cliff)Both types are still readily available here in the UK. Can you post a piccy?

Indeed. You set which channels you want on your system, then put them in the same channel slots you already use,so your tv's etc only need to be tuned to additional channels. As in reality,Freeview amounts to "threeview",there being only about three extra digital channels worth watching(inmho)these could be slotted in easily The makers don't

Sounds like you've removed the dummy plug that goes into the "line in/out" socket? If so,put it back, then connect your (i.pod?)to the Aux socket instead. The line in/out socket is for connecting an external sound processor,or what one client referred to as a "graphic sympathiser". Regards, Nick

A number of innovative products are appearing on the market, that should help to offset the nonsense of digital switchover.Digital processing can be an improvement, but it's not as wonderfull as suggested. All the hype is driving consumers into the shops, convinced that their screens are going to go blank any day soon,if they don't buy a new set

This is an ancient form of "surround sound" processor. It was designed to give a sort of spatial stereo sound, and can be quite effective. Is your unit for connecting into the speaker circuit? Most were, and created anti-phase signals for the "ambio" speakers, that were placed to the rear of the listening area.Happy uncomplicated day's

I think the Beocentre 9300 could be used with a datalink turntable such as BG3500,4500,6500,7000.These all have the RIAA preamp built in,but you need to change the option of the TP2 input to Phono? Remote control of the deck is then possible If so,you could also use other turntables such as BG3000,5000,5500,85/9500,which are datalink, but don't have

The processor is no longer available, but rarely fails anyway,it's usually upset by faulty anciliary components.Try taking the batteries out of the handset to disable remote control. The handset keyboard can become conductive around the most used keys.If the Beomaster functions normally via it's own controls,it could be the handset sending spurious

Yes indeed, they were made by ITT in Germany, but the spec is better than the standard telly speakers. You can buy a speaker unit that will fit,and in fact looks very much like the original, for about half the B&O price.I was dissapointed with the sound though! The original drivers together with the special sound tubes they fit into, give the telly that
