    BC9500

I pressed shift+radio for the line input. All works fine but now the system will not monitor other sources through the speakers. Pressing Atape for e.g and the tape starts but no sound. shift+radio (line input) is now the only source available. Help please.

It's got it's knickers in a twist somewhere. Is this a stand alone 9500 we are discussing or part of a link system?

If stand alone, do the front panel controls work as should. ie not using a remote?

If not then suggest unplug from mains, leave 2 mins then plug in and try again.

Sounds like you've removed the dummy plug that goes into the "line in/out" socket? If so,put it back, then connect your (i.pod?)to the Aux socket instead.

The line in/out socket is for connecting an external sound processor,or what one client referred to as a "graphic sympathiser".

    Correct as usual Nick,

That is exactly what I did. Beomaster 6000 has a similar socket "EXT" for the purpose. I will use the TV/AUX or TAPE 2 socket in future. Also correct it was an Ipod!
