  • Re: LinkPlayer Feedback Thread

Hi Phil, I like the new icon very much! I'm also looking forward to LinkPlayer V2 to get some stability back with it working on Lion. The Spotify and EyeTV features sound great too! Many thanks and please keep up the good work! Best Rob PS as always happy to beta test if you need it.

Hi Phil, Airplay in the next gen of LinkPlayer would be a great feature, so would faster power-on from remote devices such as Avant which seem to take longer than others. I use LinkPlayer daily to distribute N.MUSIC and N.RADIO around my house via ML and it works brilliantly, so very much looking forward to next gen. Having beta tested the original

  • Re: iMac (mid 2010) + DAC Magic + Beoport -> no sound

HI Heribert, I'm glad you've now got sound coming from the DACmagic. I've been using one for two years linked to my Mac-Mini and BeoPort and I still am impressed by the sound improvement. I understand you have got it working via USB but I urge you to persist with the TOSlink because the quality is even better (no jitter). Some thoughts on

  • Re: DACMagic

Hi Nic, I fully agree with your views on the benefits of the DACmagic, particularly when connected via the TOSlink. It's a fantastic little box. I output from a MacMini, running Snow Leopard and LinkPlayer 0.95 (which is very good indeed), via a TOSlink to the DACmagic, then from the DACmagic to BeoPort I use high quality co-ax with gold phono plugs

  • Re: LinkPlayer Feedback Thread

I can't wait to take delivery of my iPad (played with a US version and it was excellent) and to have LinkPlayer would be the icing on the cake. I've been running 0.95 for two weeks now and it's been 100% stable and every feature working perfectly - Phil congratulations again! Best Rob

  • Re: Beoport Mac setup advice before buying

Hi Jan, I have a DACMagic from Cambridge Audio which sits between my MACMini and the BeoPort and I have to say the results are very good indeed. The sound is brighter, has more depth and much better image separation. I use the BeoPort to distribute sound around my house via a MasterLink cable to all my B&O devices. I've been using it for 6 months

  • Re: Apple TV vs. Mac Mini

Like quite a few of the replies above, I have both a Mac-mini and Apple TV. I would say the Mac-mini wins everytime. Running LinkPlayer through a DACmagic converter to the BeoPort it's a great source of music on the B&O network and full computer too. I also put all my movies on an external hard drive and then through Wifi stream them form the

  • Re: Snow Leopard - Update: BM-Link not 100% compatible. Don't upgrade yet!

Hi Philippe, I second Razlaw's comments, beta version 0.4 is terrific. A few bugs still which I've emailed you about but LinkPlayer is looking like a really great piece of work - please keep up the development and bug-fixing. Thanks for all your hard work! Best Rob

  • Re: Magic mouse

Hi Beocool, I've been using a MagicMouse on my Mac Mini for just over a week now and no ill effects at all. It's really very nice to use and the ability to use it like the trackpad on my MacBook is great. It's quite heavy and surprisingly firm to grip when using as as mouse to move the cursor around. Definitely the best Mac mouse yet. Best
