Shifting works excellent...plus running on Windows 64 bits......at last we are arriving where we should have been some time ago.

I'am just wondering:...... If you imagine only one half of the Beolab 11, could that be the design or shape of B&O's next generation Beolab (compact) speakers....?

@ Zwaan. In welk menu zou je welke instelling

Hi Dave, Have you actually seen the white BL9's at your dealer? All BL9's have a fabric frame. On the places for the midrange- and bassdrivers there are probably hundreds of small holes in the fabric, enabling the sound to pass through of course. In case of white BL 9's, all these holes are quite visuable through the cloth. It's ok as

Hi mbee, I very much welcome your initiative!! Information about B&O software updates, both sw number and functional changes, has always been very high on my wishlist. So if you can manage to update us on a regular base it will certainly be highly appreciated. Thanks Johan

With the 8000's I regularly felt the need for an additional sub (BL2). Now having the 9's, that feeling disappeared completely! However that's all very personal. I have to say I'am in a very favourite position as my nephew is a B&O dealer in Holland, meaning I am able to test more or less any B&O kit I would like. During the

Simon, I would strongly advice you to (re)consider the BL9's seriously in your proposed set-up. I had a pair of BL8000 Mk3 which i have traded in for the 9's a few months ago. Extensive listening learned me that the sonic difference between them is substantial in favor of the 9's. ALT technology gives an impressive sound picture and spreading

Interesting discussion. Thank you Peter for your additional information. There is still one question on my mind and I feel it is the same question Timhanna (still) has. Assuming you have a pair of ALT front speakers (in our situation BL9's), should one go for ALT technology for the rears as well in order to get an optimum overall sound impression

If your budget allows for it, go for a pair of BL9's for sure! Recently I changed my (only one year old!) BL8000's for the 9's and I have not regretted it for a second. Some time ago one of our BeoWorld members stated that "the 9 's are playing in a totally different league" and I completely agree with him. Johan

So, apparently quite a few BS5 owners already enjoyed N-music and N-radio through a Beoport system which they had before. I am curious to know if you find the sound quality with the BS5 system (much) better than through Beoport, of course assuming the speakers have not been changed.
