Fantastic - thanks guys, I will be stopping of at Maplins on my way home - I didn't think it would be that cheap to get the converter, that's great, thanks again. I'll also check speaker settings.

I have a Philips DVD player connected to my beovision avant which is fitted with Dolby 5.1 board, the DVD sound goes through a seperate cable to the phono input on the back of the TV and sounds amazing - which is how I guess it should sound. My SKY+ is connected with a SCART cable but most of the sound comes through the TV Speakers, on the back of the

Beovision 9000/9002 with the tambour door Don't know the model number but it was white, slightly curved cabinet and sat on a Trumpet Stand - circa late 70's - stunning. I bought one second hand once and always regretted selling it. Avant - the one I have in black looks seriously cool Come to think of it, nearly all B&O TV's have been

Thanks both for your replies - my mind is at rest and I'll look out for the adaptor - in the meantime it's connected using a 7 pin din splitter and all working fine.

Hi - yes it's a beosound 3000, but I wouldn't be remote controlled if I plugged it into the DIN socket and I have my ipod connected that way, I wondered if the Beolink converter would be a way of adding additional inputs.

I've just bought a beocord 2000 cassette deck - if I connect it to a Beolink converter can it be used through master link via my BC3000? - if so how do I access it - would it LINK A-MEM or A-TAPE2 or something - or should I forget about the converter and just use it manually?
-
I wondered that too about the Avant parking and thought it was a fault - makes perfect sense to me now. I wonder how many other things there are. It's always a nuisance when you want to add something to a Beo4 even temporarily and everything switches off.

The box as far as I know can only output one format at a time - if the first output is set to 16:9 and the second to 4:3 then 16:9 willbe selected when operated from the box itself or through the STBC, 4:3 will be selected when operated through the magic eye in the remote room. If you are controlling sky through a link system then it will be operated

I asked the same question a while back and took the advice of renting a van and moving it upright with loads of padding etc. around it. Looking back it was well worth the price of the van rentall to know that it was being transported properly and stood the best chance of not getting damaged in transit.

I had this problem a while back, if the RF feed and control for Sky in the other rooms is from the Avant then it will always be 16:9. The way the Sky box works is that the second feed when connected to a second TV and set to 4:3 will only change to 4:3 when their magic eye is connected so you have to operate it through a Sky remote and not a Beo4. Hope
