  • Re: Apple TV News

beojeff: Sal- P.S. I'm sure I have an extra apple VGA to DVI cable if you need it. Thanks for the offer, Jeff, I bought a VGA cable from Best Buy last night, and will be using the Apple-supplied DVI to VGA adapter on the mini end. -Sal

beojeff: Boxee will not work with the latest Apple TV firmware update. Sadly, I think Boxee went too far in including Hulu. Apple had been permissive in allowing such hacks, but Boxee is going too far in taking away revenues from Apple. I would have been happy just for the divx and video_ts capabilities as well as the ability to add an external hard

BOXEE for AppleTV adds a TON more functionality, and for those of us with Mac Mini's or other Macs, Boxee is also available in a downloadable application. I'm on the alpha testing of the app now, and it's fantastic! -Sal

  • Re: Embedded Windows XP in Beosound 5????

Alex: Why buy a BeoCenter 2 if you can spend £40 on something at Dixons which does pretty much the same thing? If you can answer those questions, then you can justify the BeoSound 5. Alex, I think many folks on here have been critical of the BS5 because we all want to see B&O succeed, rather than being left with a perception that the company we know

  • Re: Roku Netflix Player - Is there an STB

beojeff: Sal- I've heard that Netflix will also be available via your Tivo! Therefore, you and Nora won't even need to buy anything new to add that functionality. Hope it is sooner than later... currently, the only TiVO Netflix functionality is to manage the queue. Downloading movies isn't available... (yet?) -Sal

Yep, my wife and I will also be looking into more information about the Roku... It'd be nice to have immediate access to movies, and cut out the "hassle" of mailing them back... Sheesh.. well it's not that much of a hassle, but the prospect of immediate satisfaction is compelling. -Sal

  • Re: BEOSOUND 5 - LAUNCH

Villette010: if many BeoWorld members had their way, B&O would make just one product - a TV with a CD player and MP3 player, a hard drive, DVD recorder, internet streaming, telecommunications and a 2 way remote control that they can operate their coffee machine with! I think we'll all fall mady in love with it when we get to see it. Rumors have

  • Re: Beosound 5 poll anyone?

I'm with mobeyone on this, Lab5s are a priority in my book now, I may not have them for another 10 years, but I know I will one day. Until then, I'll enjoy my BS9K, BV8 combination (and maybe an appleTV in there for good measure). -Sal

  • Re: How about this????

expoman: Without any personal hands on I can only compare MOTS to my Tivo finding shows to record based on the shows I chose to watch. After about two weeks of suggestions that I really hated and filled my hard disk up all the time, I had to turn off this feature to keep from throwing my Tivo off a cliff. I can totally relate to the experience you had
