From memory about £100 or £150. Straight forward to fit, with instructions supplied with the board

Hi I have had almost the same setup as you are suggesting and it worked very well. I retrofitted the dolby board (obtained from Lifestyle AV) and had Pentas as the fronts and RL45s as rear speakers. Pentas connected directly to the BV3 and the Redlines connected via the ML/MCL converter. I previously had it working without the Dolby board using a Sony

I've just bought an HDR2 and I'm haveing problems getting it to control my sky box. I have connected it up as per the user manual to Beovision 3 (32") and the (Panasonic) sky box. The HDR2 is registered in the Beovision as "VTape" as there is no HDR option in the choices. The sky box was previously operated via the Beovision STB

I had the set up you want, except it was a BS2300, this was simply connected to the passive with a fully wired powerlink cable. Very simple and as stated in previous posts it automaticaly turns on and off so it's just like having active apeakers from a user point of view.

Is there a way that I can have the V8000 connected to HDR1 but still be able to record from my STB onto the HDR1?

That's great, thanks for the info. Phil

I currently use a Beocord V8000 with my Beovision 3 and it all works well. I have the chance to get a HDR1 at a good price. So the question is will it work OK with my Beovision as it is or will I need to update the software? The Beovision is about 5 years old. Thanks Phil
