It sounds like BeoVision 8-26 with BeoSystem 3 should offer all you want; Use the DVI output from the BeoSystem 3 to the HDMI input of the BV8. Use the audio output of the BeoSystem 3. I don't know about the other equipment and the Lintronic, but the core seems OK. I wonder if you could make the BV 8 audio act as a center channel in a theater setup

I dare say that if they are LESS than the width of the screen apart they will LOOK pretty weird, as well. Ray

Black bars should not be visible on an HD program. If not HD, with my local cable (Cox), the STB settings manage the non-HD signals. It offers several viewing options for non-HD, including stretch and black bars. You might check your STB settings. Ray

I saw the BV8, looked from every angle, and thought the logo was anything but dramatic. Different, but definitely not a problem.....for me. To each his/her own. Ray

You might also consider "cable grommets". There are many different types and sources. Google that term and you will find many. That would avoid construction other than tidying up the current holes with compound and then touch up paint. You have done a very nice job to this point, by the way. Ray

Tell us the rest of your set up. If you are using a cable box similar to the one in my region, Cox, you change the picture format via cable. Ray

I don't think that extra .5 of an iPhone will do much. Ray

Great article. Sounds like paradise.

Who said it cost $20k US? Ray

If you can handle the RJ45 part, just ask your dealer for a PowerLink junction box, and you can splice the two cables. The junction box was just announced for the US and, though I haven't sought one yet, I assume it is now available. Ray
