I have integrated PLEX and eyeTV with it, and I am in the process of organising the herd's Movie and TV collections so they can be accessed via LinkPlayer and PLEX
I would like to link a Mac into my B&O system. My main priority is to pull the internet, net radio, net music (itunes), BBC iPlayer, etc

I faced a similar choice a few weeks ago and eventually decided on a new Beovision 8-40. I like the styling on the BV8 as it reminds me (not sure why) of a 'normal' TV, not a generic panel. It's also the cheapest in the range and that made sense for me as I'm not a massive TV viewer or into the home cinema experience. In essence I saw
Moving the blaster can't make a difference to your problem. Your problem is that the PUC is outputting the 'play' command - this is what is necessary to get the screen up to show the last recorded program. The only way a 'play' is output is if you hold Go for 2 seconds, or you press Go once and don't
I do have that problem on some installs. May be the Beo4 is too sensitive, doesn't happen all the time.
How do you get it working properly? Is it a matter of adding more of a (paper) filter to the IR blaster?

Thank you very much - everything I was looking for. I've just tried it out and they work!!! I have one last problem however - the 'Go' button on the Beo4 more often than not goes directly through to playing the last recorded programme - ie the equivalent of hitting <Go><Go>. Does anyone else have this problem? It seems like the

Peter/Anyone! I'm having problems with a STB-C attached to Beovision 8 and (Amstrad?) Sky+ box. The installation is new and I've already had the shop back once since the installation to get the STB-C working. Initially there was very erratic and poor response to the Beo4. This problem was thought to be that the IR emitter was too strong! Indeed

Andy Thanks for the reply. I'd just like to say to everyone that I went into the Derby store to have a chat with and to explain how miffed I was their service. In the event Andy was very helpful in advising and demonstrated what the store had to offer - as a result I ended walking out having ordered a new BV8! I understand that the employee I was

It seems to me that the franchise model with stores dedicated to B&O will lead to closures in harder times. Inevitably the ones closing will be those serving the smaller markets. In the last economic downturn, a number of independent retailers were still selling B&O alongside other product ranges. Often these stores had experienced sales staff

Peter I think there something called ATVFlash which claims to open up Apple TV. Has anyone here tried it? AP
