  • Re: B&O Penta owners will want to bookmark this!

camshaft, strangely I found out that the same speakers from Peerless is the way to go! -same partnumber but I found them on a company in Sweden. I have found some great rewiews on them from some DIYers, they are resonable in price also and that is interesting when you need 8 of them.... -But do we rally need 8 of them? One idea I have is to only use

Great job, I will be going class D also some day! camshaft, do you have som more detaild specs on the midrange speakers in the Pentas? It mostly the sensitivity I am worried about. I might have found som replacements from Peerless, but I need more info to know if I am close. They do not fit perfect mechanically but I do not really see a problem with

  • Re: Penta Beovox/Beolab

I have the Beomaster 7000 and Beolab Penta MK2. When I rebuilt my filters in the Pentas I also connected them directly to the Beomaster amplifier just to compare the amplifier in the Beomaster to the built in Penta-amplifier. I must say that it was a big difference to the Penta amplifier advantage. Besides the obvious lack of power in the Beomaster

  • MCL X-TRA speaker kit, installation information wanted

I have purchased a MCL X-TRA speaker kit but I have no information on how to connect it. The manuals for download are not in any language I understand.... My plan was to have extra speakers in the bed room connected to a beosystem 7000 in the livingroom. Where can I find this information? Thank you!

  • Re: Beolab Penta as PA-speakers?

We ended up using the Pentas in the end, which was a little scary for me. Partly because I was afraid of damage them in transportation and partly because someone might become a little to close after 12+ beers and tipping them over But everything went perfect and sound pressure was not a problem, sound quality was not satisfying in my opinion but most

  • Re: Beolab Penta as PA-speakers?

Hopefully they will deliver, but perhaps "party" has a different meaning in the rest of the world compared to up here in the cold north of Sweden. Here it means serious amounts of alcohol and music on very high levels, with something that perhaps could be called dancing. I am worried the Pentas will deliver the sound pressure needed only for

  • Beolab Penta as PA-speakers?

A friend of mine is having a party with appr. 50 persons, there will be music played by a DJ with professional equipment. The problem is that he does not have amplifiers or speakers available at the time. He said that he used Pentas for an other party with similar size and they delivered pretty good. Has anyone tried the Pentas in bigger rooms with

  • Re: Beolab Penta 1 revidieren

Die_Bogener: Hi, you have used some "AUDYN" caps for this mod... they are probably the best quality you can get. It would be very hard to get better ones than these ... There are just some more (expensive...) options for Audyn caps possible... tin foil, other insulations like MKT, MKS types... but they are all very good. Instead of ICE power

I have now replaced the capacitors in my Pentas, the components were provided by Dillen here at the forum, fast delivery but not so fast installation by me... Yes! -There is an improvement to the sound. More detailed in the higher frequencies, better separation of sounds and instruments. I am pleased with the result. The components from Dillen are as

Jesper, I have made a post in your thread about the capacitors in the CD, asking for alternatives, as said before, this specific one seems a little hard to find. Die Bogener, ones again, -thank you for charing your great knowledge! I have spent more or less the whole day experimenting with the Pentas, and one thing is for sure, they are really sensitive
