  • Re: Power Supply Broken

Sorry to hear this. I´m afraid I´m not of any particular help in this case but try looking at the ifixit guide for the macbook: http://www.ifixit.com/Categories/MacBook-13-Inch/86 They got parts and guides for nearly every portable mac and you can at least estimate if your able to open the case and do further fixing. I have to say, i would

  • Re: Beosound 6 on official site

tom: I want it to be better than any iPod, but my brain somehow does not want to... Your brain is telling the truth. Take a look at the new iPod touch and you see, how a mobile music player in the year 2007 should look and work like. And then try comparing their price tags... If you ask me, BS6 is an offense against every self conscious customer. Regards

I have to say that to this very day I simply can´t understand, why they rolled out BS6 the way it is now. While Samsung launched at IFA ´07 two quite interesting new concepts of mobile media players (video player yp-p2: http://www.samsungexhibition.com/ifa2007/product/list.jsp?pcode=PROD03&select=3 and music player yp-pt: http://www

  • Re: Today I got my Beo 5!

Hi there & Congratulations to your new, very nice toys. One question though regarding the material of the touch-sensitive display (the cover). Is it made of high-gloss plastic or real glass? Thanks + Regards, beoberlin

  • Re: irtrans usb vs. ethernet version

I use the LAN version, like it and would buy it again. Imho LAN is more future-proof (in terms of adding other equipment to your set-up, even non-b&o) and more flexible to use than USB. With USB you are bound to the USB port of your mac or a hub connected directly to the cpu. With LAN you can choose to connect the module either to the mac, a router

  • Re: case for an external hard drive

Difficult question. I was in the same position and spend some time looking for a small, adequate case, without sufficient success, i might add. Without looking for design i would first suggest going for a case with usb 2.0, firewire 400 and 800. This may be a little more expensive then usb or fw 400 only, but is very future proof and you can connect

  • Re: MacBook Pro and external screen

Yeah, it´s possible and even officially supported by Apple. The keyword is "lid-closed mode", works with mb and mbp, have a look: http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/comparison_chart.html To work properly the power adaptor has to be plugged in, it works not with the battery only. Then connect ext. keyboard and mouse to the book

  • Re: Prize Quiz!!

Peter: Did you get all the answers or did you simply search the author's notes? ehm...not exactly...by chance i stumbled from q.1 directly to q.14 as i had a different image of the -in my opinion- mentioned product in mind. After this the answer to q.14 was easy, bringing me straight to q.15. So i´m afraid i´m not that kind of "frightening"

  • Re: Prize Quiz!!

Thanks - Nice little game to spend some time. One last question though: After reading the last question am i assuming correctly, that q.1 - q.14 are only the path and q.15 is the most important (i.e. there is no such thing as a "prize draw" and the best answer to q.15 makes the winner)?beoberlin

  • Re: BV8 + backlit Beo4 on B&O site

Did somebody noticed that the photographer (or interior designer or whoever) did something amazing with the floor-stand in the newer pictures (these with the kids)? He actually just turned the once ugly thing simply around, so it´s appearance is completly different. Instead of the former design, which simply extended the "lines" of the
