It does not work on mine , and yes, I do press Go after AV. I do not understand what you mean by "TV is Option 1 or Option 2". The TV is not part of a Beolink system, just a standalone TV that has an AppleTV connected to it via an AV2 Expander.

Thanks for the suggestions. Regarding the first, I am assuming that AV must be added to the Beo4 list. I've done this, but the source is the TV (AppleTV connected via AV2 expander) so the picture turns on even if I press AV prior to selecting the source. I'm certainly trying to stop the tube activating when the speakers are used for music.

Can you turn off the picture on a Beovision MX7000 but keep the sound? I'm using an AppleTV to stream music to the MX but don't want to burn the tube unnecessarily. I know it's possible with an Avant, but is it possible with an MX7000 (using a Beo4 remote)? Thanks

I've just read a WIred article on Class D amplifiers . B&O gets a brief mention, even though they have misspelled Olufsen.

Film: Leica M2 (older than me). Digital: Leica Digilux 2 Point and shoot (Digital): Ricoh GRDII (RAW capture) I'm still exploring this new machine but very impressed so far.

Thanks for your reply. You make an excellent point ... will the AV2 Expander manage an RGB signal? I will investigate with my dealer before purchasing the converter. I'll post the response here.

Is anyone using an Apple TV with a Beovision MX7000? The TV isn't widescreen but I understand that the ATV can cope with this . The technical challenge is the translation from component video in the ATV to an RGB signal on the MX7000. I'm thinking that this device will be needed. I'll be connecting the ATV to an AV2 Expander (component ports

Ah... understood. Having read the V8000 manual I thought that extra channels could be programmed into it that did not necessarily exist on the TV. Apparently not. Thanks for the tip. I will investigate (with my fingers crossed).

I'm trying to set up a new channel on my V8000 VCR but cannot get to the correct menu. When I select VTAPE Menu > SETUP > TUNING I get no menu, but instead am returned to the broadcast TV picture. It's very frustrating. Very occasionally (1 in 10 attempts or so) I get a glimpse of the tuning menu, but only for a split second before the

Thanks for your replies. Peter, I'll try the AV2 expander again given your positive experience with it. Craig, I'll use your suggestion as Plan B, simply because the RF picture quality from the Playstation is not all that great (in theory at least ... I will experiment and see if I can tell the difference!) Now, if only I can wedge an AppleTV
