• Re: BEOMASTER 3400, help needed with repair

    Thanks Menahem and Martin for your help. As this fault was not present before the capacitor change, Martin was right to check the things I did. As I do not have a service manual for this Beomaster, I do not know the correct polarity of the caps. So I looked for the 2.2uF Menahem mentioned and decided to simply turn them around... Guess what - it works

    Hello, I've got a lovely BEOMASTER 3400 that had problems with the AFC section. As the unit is some years old, I decided to change all electrolytic capacitors as well as the tatals. The AFC is now workling again and the overall perfformance is better (the little hum that was noticable before is now gone). But unfortunately the unit developed a new

My BeoSound 9000 has developed a strange error. When the last track on a CD is playing, the BeoSound 9000 cuts it off before the end of the track and switches to the next CD. Has anyone had the same problem?
Yes!!!!! my 9000 mk2 had EXACTLY the same behaviour some years ago;

  • Re: [BV5] Does B&O overrule the panasonic settings?

The difference should only be parts of the software of the module. If you connect a PC or MAC, than the Panel identifies itself as BV4 via the DVI. But the Autodetection of BS3 does not work :-(
As it identifies itself as a BV4 doesn't mean that its done by the DVI module

    The difference should only be parts of the software of the module. If you connect a PC or MAC, than the Panel identifies itself as BV4 via the DVI. But the Autodetection of BS3 does not work :-( To make the panel fully BS3 compatible, I guess parts of the panel sw have to be modified as well. AFAIK there is an update tool available....
I believe there are some settings within the Panasonic panel that tell it or tell a BS2 /BS3 that its got a Pana panal on the end of its connections. You will need a Pana panal and a panasonic remote for this. You need to get into the Panasonic service menu, in the CAT panal menu CD mode And there are a whole series of
