Hi all, does anyone know what sort of 3,5mm phone jack I need for the head-set jack on my Beocom 3 and how to connect the single contacts? I just tried 2 (stereo) head-sets I have from my mobile phones with a 4 contact 3,5mm phone jack but the Beocom refuses to work with these :-( Many thanks nad best regards Marcus

Thanks Menahem and Martin for your help. As this fault was not present before the capacitor change, Martin was right to check the things I did. As I do not have a service manual for this Beomaster, I do not know the correct polarity of the caps. So I looked for the 2.2uF Menahem mentioned and decided to simply turn them around... Guess what - it works

Hello, I've got a lovely BEOMASTER 3400 that had problems with the AFC section. As the unit is some years old, I decided to change all electrolytic capacitors as well as the tatals. The difference should only be parts of the software of the module. If you connect a PC or MAC, than the Panel identifies itself as BV4 via the DVI. But the Autodetection of BS3 does not work :-( To make the panel fully BS3 compatible, I guess parts of the panel sw have to be modified as well. AFAIK there is an update tool available....
