  • Re: Beovox 2500 Cube

Hello Chris, Andy now has them, along with the relevant system, so they are getting around a bit, I suspect that's where they will stay for quite some time too. As for the compatible speakers,Beovox 5000, Beovox 4000, Beovox 3000, Beovox 1500. The 3000 - especially the first version - and the 4000s are quite rare, much more difficult to find than

  • Re: Beovox 600

The reason these are not considered hifi is because they could not meet the relevant DIN standard.(45 500?) Do not be put off by this though, because some other speakers didn't meet it either, but when paired with an apporpirate source they sound well, I can think of the Type B and the type Ms for example and I believe the Beovox 1000 didn't

  • Re: RL 140 repace woofer foam with rubber

Yes it can change the response, depends partly on how good the folk are that do the work, but that would be a quality issue more than a technical one. Ultimately, yes it will make some sort of change, but you are unlikely to hear it and it would take some fairly sophisitcated equipment to measure the differant frequency response. By this age, the type

  • Re: Beovox RL 140 cross over refurbish, replacing capacitors

Replace the electrolytic capacitors, you will need to remeber to glue the replacements in place after you have soldered them. If you don't glue them, they can vibrate loose and damage teh solder connection, and they may cause a distracting buzz. In these speakers, you are best replacing them with more electrolytics as the space is fairly limited

Sorry, but that thing isnt at all nice, looks like a cheap computer surroundsound speaker, or something from a bathroom furnishings catalogue.

I'll certainly be contacting you yet again Martin for that kit, I'm not in a position to do it just now though.

Martin, do you supply a full overhaul kit for the Beomaster 6000. Mine is working ok, or it was last time I tried it, but I'd like to replace all the electrolytics, tants and anything else that should be done. I also rember you said something about adding a heatsink to the display driver or was it the fm decoder chip.

Hello Chris, I'd suggest you get yourself down to Farnells or RS, just the road from you. Do you have an account with them, if so you can order and then collect, otherwise you'll have to wait for delivery - in 24 hrs.

I might also add, there are only a few manufacturers of lcd screens in the world, Sony, Toshiba, Samsung, LG-Phillips many of the other suppliers are companies that buy time on fabrication plant lines - so you'll see several differant 'manufacturers' screens going down the same production facility. Looking at the staff level of Hanspree

Yup, they make lcd monitors and tvs - look on eby and you'll see quite a few, most retailers stock them. Middle range stuff, they also sponsor a couple ofbike teams in world 600's supersports and ran a championship winning team in World Superbikes when James Toseland won the second of his two world titles.
