(tried to post this yesterday but my www was useless...) Actually, one of my pet peev's is the quality that CD's are being ripped and printed and the way some artists (or rather the recording/processing studios) are "dumbing down" the content. I recall writing on this forum in 2003 after just purchasing my BL5's on how I had rediscovered

You know, I wish people would just step back and read what they have written. The last few threads here sound just like a jumped hi-fi mag. "wish there was berylum-krypton hyper-tweeters etc..." (so bats lose their way)......."wish there was extra Deep Blue DSP processing" (so it sounds better if I want to listen in an obscure corner

Hi guy's. Sort of come late into this thread as I've had to suffer being on holiday and worrying about other trivial things. Quick question for me to gain some perspective on the subject here. Q. What is going to sound better? BL5's playing a 96khz source or a pair of Goodmans/Alba/basic Pioneer/Sharp...etc loudspeakers playing HD Sound

I dont think that the supposedly 2% price increase is anything to do with B&O wanting to rake-in more cash. It is probably more to do with passing on increases in petroleum based costs and inflation i.e. higher transport, raw materials, plastics costs etc.. It will be interesting to see how other electronic companies manage as their marketing strategy

The problem is not B&O. The problem is the other electronics manufactures and the support from the media companies. Today most electronics companies (Sony, Panasonic, even Apple etc.. ) would most probably confess under threat of death that their products are designed, built and sold as a 12 month product life cycle. These company's are endlessly

I travel a lot and to keep touch with the family, I use Skype overseas alot. I use the following combination:- The Earset 1 (mobile) A Stereo 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter (Maplins for a quid) A 3.5mm Stereo to two 3.5mm mono adapter (aircraft adapter - again Maplins for a quid) This final adapter just squeezes into most laptop mic/output sockets. I could

I dont think it will be easy to change the aluminium disks on the BL5. First, the supplied disks are very thin alu. Second, they are bonded onto the main lens by a rubberised bonding agent. This is thick and tarry. The bonding agent is allowed to ooze into 6 - 8 circular groves on the inside of the lens before the alu disk is pressed on. Thus to replace

I doubt that it is a function of engineering knowhow. I doubt that it is a fuction of any licencing agreements. It is probably because they dont want to. There is a fine edge between a user to having on one extreme a full B&O system and only the BL4's at the other. i.e. they want you to buy as much B&O as possible. 10%

soundproof: The movie companies are salivating at the prospects of cutting their logistics and transportation costs, as well as all the pay-offs to middlemen, by going to downloads. They'll make more money, and ultimately customers will be paying less -- for the same content. Yes they will make more money and no, we wont be paying less. But first

....so I doubt it has nothing to do with blasting a single 1000w (max!) into 4 ohms into a 3-way design. ....so I doubt that it has nothing to do with the crossover arrangement. ....so I doubt it has nothing to do with anything other than the amp itself? ....or is it that it just has B&O pressed onto the side? ....or is it the cables???? 10%
