  • Re: B & O starting to fall behind?

Is the latest and greatest technology what "everybody" needs to cope with life, especially when it has to do with "entertainment" products? It's "life style" not life sustaining. Technology, like B&O is background stuff, and not the forefront of my daily existance, or at least that is how I treat it. Plus if I want

What I find absurd in the electronics market is the latest and greatest is always just a few months from being obsolete. Too many people are getting hung up on the latest and greatest gadget be it plasma vs lcd, vs DVI, vs HDMI VS progressive scan vs component, vs S-video, vs composite, vs VHS, vs laser disc, vs DVD, vs blue ray and on and on blah,

  • Re: What was your First Album?

David Bowie, Aladdin Sane. Should have seen the look on my dads face when I brought that one home! Still have it though most of my albums now share time in frames are and hung on a wall in our game room. I really miss albums. So many of them were works of art as well as fun to read.

  • Re: Lighting Controls???

Well here I go again, seems I learn something new everyday about B&O. I use the Lutron Maestro in my home theatre with BV 4. I didn't want to spend $1000 for the grafik eye, so I settled for the little remote that came with the $25 maestro switch. And now I hear the Beo 5 can control these????? ARRRRGGGGHHHHH! and I missed the trade in deadline

  • Re: US Avant/BS1 12h Clock Software Update

OH NO!! The clock on my wrist is based on the 12 hour concept, too. If someone asks me the time I'll just show them my wrist clock and let them figure it out, don't want to seem old world.

  • Re: Beocom 5 a preview

As I recall the keyboard and screen are for when the unit is in the stand. Makes perfect sense so that one can see the screen and dial while on speaker phone. I love the becom 6000 but hate the fact that I have to pick up the phone to see who is on caller ID.

The W.F.A. (wife approval factor) on this setup has got to be around a negative 99!

  • Re: Michael Jackson's Death

Yesterday was really a day of reflection for me with the death of two icons from my youth...Farrah Fawcett and then Michael. I was working part time in a music store at the time his mega album "Thriller" hit the music world, our store was packed with his old and new fans, it was a site to see. Since I no longer have a turntable all of my albums

  • Re: BS9000 Scrolling Txt ??????

There are times in my life that I have felt stupid and too embarrassed to admit it. I have had my Beosound 9000 for 10 years and I want to confess my stupidity here and now. Today, I have learned something about my 9000 that I had no idea it could do. Up until today I had only one radio station that would scroll the RDS info. With Keith's little
