  • Re: Star of the Day Celebration

Hi Steven is my son in law, I persuaded him to enter and he won, sorry he's not (yet) a beoworlder. Brian

  • Not quite a beoworlder, but...

Hi I persuaded my son in law to enter the star of the day competition. He is new to all this, his only stuff is two beocom 6000's. I couldn't believe it when he won the headphones two days ago, he also had a photograph featured in the BBC Scotland website last week. I have asked him to nominate numbers for tonight's national lottery, and

  • Re: Beoport and BS9000 - just how usable is it

Hi folks I have Beoport, and my computer is well away from my main listening room. What I have done is install gotomypc program on a small laptop, then connect it to my main computer. Basically it's a bit like remote assistance or pcAnywhere. Anyway, I'm now in my lounge with small laptop which shows me exactly what is on my main computer screen

  • Re: LC2/BS9000

Hi John Can't answer Q2, but for your first question, you can connect a LC2 controller to one or a number of lights as long as the combined wattage is not over 300 watts. The Beo4 handset or using the globe will therefore dim all the lights together. You can have as many controllers as you want in an area connected to as many different lights as

  • Re: Sorry to be a pain...

Thanks for your help, yes I already have stb-c and my beo4 does control the old cable box in main room and around the house, I just wondered if the new V+ box could be similarly controlled. Brian

  • Sorry to be a pain...

Hi Sorry to be a pain if this has been asked before, but is the new telewest/virgin media V+ box compatable for operation through the Beo4 handset. I'm asking this cos if it is then this is a good excuse to persuade my other half to buy several Beo5s. Thanks. Brian

  • Re: Serene Phonebook Problem

Hi Not sure if this helps, but I have a Serene. I remember reading that all entries should be added to Serene with country code then when it syncswith 6000 or bc2, then the numbers will be Ok. I haven't tried the other way round, is that the cause of the problem? Brian

  • BS4000

Hi Is there a 'correct' way to position two bs4000 speakers? ie should the speaker side be on the outside, or should it be on the inside. My dealer positioned the speakers on the outside. In fact does it make any difference and has anyone tried the other way round? From an aesthetic view I think I like mine as they are, but from acoustic position

  • Re: Picture & Sound quality in Cinemas

Brian here again I know what my point was, I was wondering about anyones views about the difference between our B&O driven cinema experience compared with 'the real thing'. Brian

  • Picture & Sound quality in Cinemas

Hi I'm not sure about the average beoworlder (if there is such a thing), but can I say how disappointed I am in the cinema experience at the cinema. I add that last bit on in case you think I mean the cinema experience at home. Sound isn't particularly good, in fact the dolby advert at the beginning is better, and the picture IMHO is scrappy
