• Re: Bang and Olufsen Outsourced
Moxxey – I agree with most of what you say in your last post. However, the top of the line Sony “consumer” television you can buy may be much less because they are not built in Japan by hand as the B&Os are hand assembled in Denmark.
They are? My BV10-46 was made in the Czech factory and

  • Re: BeoLit 12 is in the shops! Initial impressions?
Did you have problems with your sound 3 pressure plate? My volumering doesn't work is now for second repair.
Correct, yes. But then everyone did. When I took it back to my local dealer, there were about 10 other Beosound 3's lined up for repair. Indeed, there was a backlog.
Looking at Puncher's graph and not confirming the exact values, it seems that the UK price of a BL8000 has risen from £2300 to £3300 in 2006 -> 2011. This is +43%.
And, although someone has probably mentioned this, the rest of the industry has spent the last few years drastically reducing

  • Re: Alternative 26'' tv
Does anyone have any suggestion for a good alternative make for a bedroom 26'' tv now that bv26 has gone?
It's easily found. It's not completely gone (ie. unavailable). Simply buy a preloved or demo set? I bought an ex-demo BC-23 and it is decent. There are a lot of mint BV/BC6-26's around
Worse than a BS8? Wow, that's gonna sell!
Beolit 12 sounds perfectly decent to me for a portable music player. It's better than my made-in-Denmark problematic Beosound 3, for example, which is only a few pounds less, but with a mono speaker and basic FM support. Beolit 12 is £599. Beosound 3
I think Dkatz is struggling to comprehend this, thats why we keep going round in circles! I am sure he will be here in mo, to argue his case even further!!
And will keep writing "my point is....". The point was lost on page 2.

  • Re: Beocom 5
Loss of connection to the base still happens
I've not had a single loss of connection since 2.4. Koning, did you get your Beoline base updated? I took mine to my dealer, along with my Beocom 5's and my Beoline had really old software. Since that was updated (along with the Beocom 5s), I've not had
Regardless of where they were made...
Eh? You're contradicting yourself now. In fact, you're going around circles in your own posts.
At least this way they would have had perhaps a smaller profit margin than with Made in China products, but a much much bigger profit than

  • Re: Beocom 5
to my mind, its a piece of junk...poor sound quality, loss of connection to base etc etc) - the most disappointing B&O equiptment i bought
Not using sw 2.4. Sound quality can't be bettered, the loss of connection (as we've discussed above) was fixed in sw 2.4 and it's much improved. If you want

  • Re: Beocom 5

Sorry to hijack an old thread and start talking about B&O products produced in Denmark, but... Since the most recent Beocom 5 s/w update, our Beocom 5's are like different phones. Much improved. Sound quality is improved and flawless, crackles have completely been erased, no cut-offs nothing. Quite frankly, the Beocom 5 is now 10/10 in our eyes
