stevo4: Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure if the 4 could share with other 4's like the 6000. Has anyone had good luck with the Beocom 4? I like the looks of it and don't really need the features of the 6000 at this time. Steve Steve, the beocom 4 is very similar to use to the 6000. It has pretty much the same spec's - 200 name

There was a blind comparison test done at B&O in Newcastle which covered all the speakers you mention and the results published on the old beoworld site - which unfortunately isn't accessable at present. Peter was very much involved with this and he may be able to point you in the direction of these results as I'm sure they were also available

Kevin: I don't suppose she would be tempted by a pair of Pentas? Btw I have the S55 running off my B5500 sitting on a nice pair of stainles steel stands from Ikea at the moment they look and sound great I see the BC 9800 has found a retirement home It's a shame Penta's are off the list as they would offer fantastic value for money at current

All cartridge info is now on this site and can be found here in the accessories section http://www.beoworld.org/prod_results.asp?cid=6&rid=43 Chris.

Graeme: Just before the old BW went toes up I bought me a BM6000 which was sold as spares or repair. With a wee bit of tinkering it burst into life, it drives my RL6000 so sweetly, WELL PLEASED with it Excellent Avatar Graeme

There's a brand new BG4500 lid for sale on ebay uk at present which has the shiny aluminium strip which would match the system 7000 nicely. It is sloping rather than the squared off top as on the original though.
