• Re: MX-7000 worth repairing?

Thanks, maybe worth to have an B&O technician have a look at it and take it from there. I don´t have any skills to do anything myself.

  • MX-7000 worth repairing?

My mother has an early MX -7000 from the mid 90's. There is something wrong with it. The image is slightly blurred and there are diagonal stretch across the screen. It is something that seems familiar? I have seen that you can buy cheap MX televisions . An alternative would be to buy a used 32 " Avant. It's probably not economically feasible

  • Re: Out of date so quick

I stopped trying to keep up and buy the latest many years ago while I was still young. I saw my friends spend a fortune on electronics. They too realised that it was a waste in the end. There will always be something newer around the corner. How does it work if you use Sony PS3 games on an 32" Avant today? Lets say Gran Tourismo 5 as an example

  • Re: BeoLit 12 is in the shops! Initial impressions?

I saw the The Beolit 12 today. It was smaller in real life than I thought and the sound was quite impressive. But I still don´t think it´s a product for me. But B&O will probably sell a lot of them. The few the local B&O dealer got is already sold out.

  • Make headphones work with AV9000 and Beomaster 7000

I tried to connect headphones to my AV9000 via my Beosystem 7000 the other day. The speakers connected to AV9000 via masterlink to Beomaster 7000. When turning on the cd, one can hear the music through the headphones, but it´s not possible to change the volume. If one turn on the AV9000 one can hear that the music from the cd still is play through

  • Re: Beolink 7000
No, collector virus Why?
Just curious , I own one myself. A little hard to imagine that I would have 8 pieces in my possession that's all . I could possibly think of buying another for my Beocenter 9500 sometime in the future . Now that I know you have eight pieces in your hands ....
Listen to them first, and if you're not happy, only then consider the recap.
Will follow your advice. Thanks!
I did however replace the caps in the crossovers, and that improved the sound a lot . The 6000s are newer so they might not need it yet - I have a pair of 6000s as well, but have never tried any direct comparison between these. Placing these near the wall might give a bit more bass if you're into that kind of thing

Sounds good that they don´t have tendencies to rot. Talked to a dealer a while ago and they said that older Beovox Redline speakers had that tendency. Adviced me not to buy them. I figured that that was the case with all redline speakers. Read a few threads here and a few other places and was still not sure. However 135 Euro is not that much money
