Hi John, Any chance you can ask SKY for a Samsung box? I got mine in May of this year and that's a really good box - my friend got an Amstrad at the same time and the picture is rather nasty on his even in HD. I also notice the AMSTRAD's run very very warm which i think leads to reliability problems. I'd be gutted if i'd spent the cost

The DVD1 was really disappointing to me too -mostly because of the design. At a time when DVD players were getting smaller and slimmer B&O made this big box, based on the design of their VHS recorder Would have been great if B&O had made a DVD player that was to the DVD player market what the VX-series was to VHS recorders back then; A really

I'm not convinced myself. I bought a DVD1 some years ago expecting it to be excellent and what a let down it has been. Highly unreliable at playing discs, sensitive to the slightest scratches. Samsung Blu ray players are £100 here in the UK I can't see how charging £1200 can be justified my worry is, is that it is a Samsung mechanism

Yep it's a Samsung that Bang and Olufsen are charging over £1000 for! OK kinda like being charged Porsche 911 prices for a Ford Focus rather cheeky of B&O id say considering Samsung don't exactly make wonderful Blu Ray players!!!

Definately the 5000 series system from 1984 as that was the hi-fi that got me back into Bang and Olufsen. Then from the 90s the Ouverture and the BeoLab 6000s. apart from the BeoVision 8, nothing present really does it for me in their range - I find them rather unexciting these days. A8s nice design but should sell for a third of the price - they simply

Hey guys. I'm a huge B&O fan but I must say the iPod is simply the best music invention ever and let's face it - it's reliable - no jumping sticking CDs here. I have a BeoSound Century and whilst it may look 'nice' the dam design makes it TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE to play it at a decent volume without the CD skipping due to the bass
-
Humm BeoSound 5 doesn't really do anything that my iPod Nano doesn't do!!! And the iPod works wonderful in my car...
-
This might actually be the product that saves B&O - at the right price of course. About time too with this product. Very excited!!!

There needs to be. BY7 just doesn't do it for me it's ugly and dam dated too! Maybe i'm just not impressed with the brand anymore???

For me the iPod rules. it doesn't jump and stick like the Cd does on my Bang and Olufsen Century whenever you try to play it at a decent volume. It takes seconds to update my playlist from my MacBook, i can take my favourite music of my life in decent quality on the train to work, then to the Maldives for a holiday, then plug it in my Mini Cooper
