  • Re: Beosound 9000 clamper height adjustment

Hmm. That's strange. Maybe some kind of adjustment is needed, but I'm not sure why it would only affect numbers 2 and 4. Maybe the spring-loaded CD holders on 2 and 4 are sticking out too far, but I guess a simple adjustment to the clamper will correct it. If you get this done, please let us know how it works out. I might consider this solution

  • Re: Beosound 9000 clamper height adjustment

I have experienced the CD scraping sound as well. I tried an experiement and replaced all of the CDs in the player, and the scraping stopped. My guess is that if you leave the same CDs in the BS 9000 system for an extended period, the discs become slightly bowed or warped, and as a result, scrape against the clamping mechanism during movement.

  • Re: Blowing out BeoLab 8002

I've had a pair of first generation (BeoLab 8000) speakers since 1994. They've never blown or needed any service, and I use them constantly with very loud music and movies.

  • Re: Best B&O system

BeoSound 9000, but if you mean only "stacked" systems, that would be the 7000 system.

  • BeoVision 7 3D Glasses Compatibility?

I know that I asked this question at one point before, but back then, these televisions were brand-new. Has anyone tried using any "universal" active shutter 3D glasses with a Bang & Olufsen 3D capable TV? I see these glasses frequently advertised on the internet, such as the "Blick" brand universal active shutter 3D glasses

  • Re: Bad service bad quality

I, too had many B&O products from the early to mid 90s, including an Avant television. All those products worked well. My Avant never suffered a glitch. Like the other customer, I upgraded to a BV7-55 and sold my trusty Avant. The BeoVision 7-55 has been an excellent television with no trouble. Any issues I experienced were due to faulty HDMI cables

  • Re: Flash your B&O!

    Paolo, that's a great-looking, clean setup! Is your BV10 a 32" or 40"?

  • Re: Beolab 8000 - possible damage from power surge

Make sure you check for the obvious - like the SETUP switch. Make sure it's set to L or R, but not LINE.

  • Re: Design concepts

The designs have potential. As many of the Bang & Olufsen designs that make it to production, sometimes they have to grow on us.... like the BeoSound 8 and BeoLab 5.
