• Re: Beo 6

Will it be possible for existing Beo5 config files to be migrated to a Beo6, or is it too early to tell yet?

Thanks again for confirming that, Vienna. Much appreciated.

Excellent! Thanks Vienna. I now have a solution for my outdoor speaker link set-up! Presumably the wireless transmitter can connect into an existing cabled ML set-up?

Just wondering - would it be possible to use a Beolink Passive amp in a wireless ML system? i.e can you connect a Beolink passive to a ML wireless receiver via ML cable, then control the passive amp in the usual way with the IR eye connected to the passive?

  • Re: What Telephone ?

Had a new Beocom 5 at home for about two weeks now - finding it works well. The big plus for us is the speaker phone - my wife works from home regularly and loves this feature when communicating with her office whilst on the PC. The look is growing on me - as I find happens with a lot of B&O equipment. I still love our Beocom 6000's, though

Another issue I came across in generating an XML file for my Pioneer plasma (solved by Keith at the time) was to do with the very early firmware version on my Beo5. I used the same approach with my Pioneer C509A plasma - Lintronic box to learn codes, Lintronic software to create XML for Beo5. What I found was that I needed to manually trim the timings recorded by the Lintronic box, for each button on the Pioneer remote, to ensure that the correct signal length was recorded. To make sure I'd done this properly

  • Re: Beolab 11 opinions

Ended up going for the silver to try blend in with the decore and the 6000's as best as possible.

After reading all the positive reviews/experiences here, and then hearing the BL11 for myself in store, I decided to take the plunge and place an order. Should be arriving in about 2 weeks time. Really looking forward to adding it to our BL6000's.

Just wondering what a BL11 costs in Australia.
(around AUD2,600 I think)
AUD2,800.00
There's a difference in price between the surface finishes, I think? The painted finish is cheaper than the anodised by about $300AUD
