@elephant @medogsfat So it was indeed the transit screws that were the culprit. Full a bit silly now blaming the wooden floors. Problem solved. Thanks a million. Thank god I tried your suggestion before I started messing about with squash balls.

Ha maybe. Well I wouldn't say the whole cabinet wobbles. It's is imperceptible to the eye. And perhaps it's wrong to say that walking causes it, rather the running and stamping around of my young child. I exaggerated with the absurdly tentative steps remark. I know it never happens when I walk by anyway.
-
Just checked and yes it is. I don't think it's a system problem. Just those darn floorboards.

Hi all, So I have my Beocentre 2200 sitting on a SC50 cabinet. I have old wooden floors in my apartment and am having trouble with vibrations from walking causing records to skip. Only taking absurdly tentative footsteps prevent this from happening. Is there a product or solution to stop this? I don't know, some kind of foam padding or something

So I ordered an SMMC4 cartridge from Soundsmith several weeks back. Just wanted to hear from any european users who have ordered from them about average waits for delivery. I don´t really want to email them unless I´m sure that my wait has been longer than average. Thanks.
-
Yeah I certainly won't be spending that kid of money. Apparently the soundsmith smmc4 is compatable. I know it's 150 bucks but the system has some sentimental value.
-
Thats what I was afraid of. As someone said all the options are very expensive. Any lo fi repair options, besides retipping.
-
Is there no generic type that would work?
-
Hi, can anyone recommend a cheap replacement phono cartridge for my Beocenter 2200.

Hi Peter. I'm a novice so forgive me if this is a silly question. Further to your suggestion how would I attempt to bend the back support spring up a little. Would I have to remove the deck and if so how?
