I am looking for a 2nd hand set of Beolab5s and recently saw an add for a used set of Beolab5s. It stated that the speakers were 3,5 years old but had been "upgraded to 2009 version" at the factory. What would such upgrade(s) include?

To my knowledge, the Encore doesn't have ML and never will - it is being outfazed. But I certainly hope you're right about the possibility to integrate, but I guess it will be through Beonet. Just wondering whether Beonet will be compatible with current TVs......

I want to buy a Beosound5 and a Beovision 8-40, but the annonced arrival of the Beosound5 Encore has caused me to pause; Should I wait for the Encore and, in consequence, possibly also an updated version of the Beovision 8-40? To my understanding, the Encore does not support Masterlink but is rather a part of the new concept called Netlink/Beonet. It

Is it possible to combine a Beosound 5 (with B&O speakers) and a non-B&O-TV? Would I loose any functionality and/or ease of use?

Nobody ever promised "reasonable pricing" - B&O will charge what they believe customers are able and willing to pay. o)

I'd love to get the Beosound 5 - and probably will, however I have some concerns regarding sound quality; Customers generally seem to be schizofrenic when it comes to audio/video requirements; On one side, people seem obsessed with picture quality, requiring Full HD, BluRay and now even 3D capabilities, whereas they seem much more relaxed with respect

Officially confirmed price in Denmark will be DKK 54,990 (EUR 7,390 or USD 9,875) - I assume this to be without extras such as stand, special coating etc.
