Hi Keith, must be missing something here because it tells me it needs a digitally signed driver and the one provided is not so won't install?
-
thanks keith I'll look forward to that. Assuming I can work out what was done I'll also commit to converting some others Cheers
-
Feeling very thick here but can't see a way to do this convertion from raw to bit stream for rc6. Can the Beo5 actully support this?
-
Cheers keith you are the star they say you are So the obvious question is how do I convert (will investigate over the weekend unless you have an instant fix) Thanks again Adrian
-
Hi All So I've downloaded the HP Windows Media Centre XML install loaded to the beo 5 etc (all good and thanks to whoever did the work) However I've noticed that the the second time I press any button it does not work (i.e up then up again) first up works second does not I press any other key (say left or right) and then the up will work again

Just for information, As you will have seen from previous posts I've been struggling to get the software. As a last ditch attempt I ended up paying for a copy of 1.3 on ebay (nervous as I was about this, £50 for those who are wondering). Anyway it arrived yesterday, and all is now well and i can finally enjoy my Beo5. (ps did not have to upgrade

I agree but this is where B&O are doing people such a dis-service They cannot (aka see ebay adverts for beo5) and should not try and manipulate the market by restricting the programming of a product in this way.
-
Well I hope it does some good Just so we all know how strange it's getting I was just checking ebay for stuff and guess what someone is trying to sell software and cable for beo5 for £60 a pop. item number: 290268233380

Sorry was editing my inital post when you replied - The thing that gets me most is that they want me to pay for them to learn when they are meant to be the experts on. What they charge for this is under their control and is where the problem lies. However having the software myself removes the bug bear of having to travel to them each time I want to

Guess What! my dealer has also refused to help (Newbury & Reading Branches). To quote them - your configuration is very complex therefore you must pay us lots of money for us to figure out how to programme that for you) - Mind numbing they are not really capable of programming but want me to pay for them to learn?? My system is not complex Beosystem
