    Yes. It appears the arm is 'sticking'. It resists being moved to the left, and will not return when it is moved left by hand. Moving it right has a little 'springiness' - it will return to straight ahead. Reading the manual, I cannot figure out the lubrication points. Can someone share more 'step-by-step' directions. Thanks again

    Thanks guys. I took the platter off, moved the arm in, and it traversed all the way over. Also, there is a lamp right below the arm, that moves when the arm is moved, and that is 'on'. You can see the stylus deflecting to the left, before jumping back to the center of the cartridge. So it is the arm that is not moving. I also tried increasing

  • 4004 turntable - skips

    Hi gang. Finally got my living room system setup, and hooked up the 4004 type 5526 TT. Using the controls, the arm moves around nicely - up/down/left/right. It finds the beginning of the LP, and returns at the end. However, it wont track an LP - plays 1 groove, then skips back into it. Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this? Is this
