Medogsfat, thank you for the information, can you expand on "by using the right speakers"? Is there a preference for 4 or 8 Ohm? Or would you recommend B&O speakers vs. any otehr 4 or 8 Ohm?

An acquaintance of mine recently gave me a Beocenter 2200. I'm trying to assess the condition other than by visual inspection and would like to connect 2 speakers, but it appears that the connection for the Beocenter may be a proprietary type of connector. Can anyone help?
