What is it with B&O decks and "melting" of belts? I had a 7007 unit that had defunct tape deck, thought it was belts only but was the motor as well unfortunately. But when I stripped the unit there were small fragments of belt about 1cm long, but the rest was literally a sticky mess all over the motor pulley, even to the point of having

Too right, mine were that bad as well, in that the belt had basically turned to a sticky mess, no way of determining the length from a pool of black stuff! Have now got to try and determine if the motors work. The solenoid engages but not sure whether it will all work even if a new belt is fitted.

Hi Does anyone know the "length" of replacement tape player belt that is needed for the 7007 tape deck? Any help would be appreciated as the one in mine has literally melted? Anyone seen that before? Jerry

Hi There is no dedicated CD input but you can as many suggest use the 2nd tape input. If you have a B&O CD player then the DIN connections should be ok. See this thread: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/post/20813.aspx Jerry
