thanks guys - unfortunately the ATV sits on a bracket behind the 7-40 and is too far away from the BS9000 to connect to it. Looks like it's going to be a manual process to turn off the centre speaker when listening to music thanks again David

  • Apple TV question

morning chaps - i have an apple tv connected to a BV 7-40, with a pair of lab 9's and a BS9000. I only use the apple tv to listen to my i-tunes library and extremely rarely use it to download a film. The problem that is bugging me and i can't seem to work out a solution, is that when i listen to music via the apple tv, the sound comes out of

  • Re: Beosound 9 with Beolab 9

H - I had my Beosound 9000 delivered on Saturday connected to lab9s. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! I can't stop smiling everytime i see it. I got rid rid of my Beosound 3200 and replaced it with a 9000. Best thing i ever did. I've combined it with apple tv on a 7-40 so best of both worlds with my whole music library on the apple tv

  • Re: Apple TV Link Question

Hi Razlaw - in the back of the BV7 it looks like there are 4 sockets above the scart lead connection in the ''AV3'' section. Looking at the panel that comes off the back of the tv, they are labelled Y,Pb,Pr,SPDIF and PUC. I put the 2 plugs in the Pb and Pr sockets. I really appreciate the time you are taking to help me many thanks David

thanks phil - let me have a go. The scart i'll connect to is the AV3 scart? i assume i don't have to change any of the settings on the tv i.e AV3, VMEM, set to HDMI on the screen etc cheers Dave

  • Re: Apple TV Link Question

Hi guys - sorry to drag this up again but i'm having real problems trying to get my link room to work. Apple tv is connected to BV7 via HDMI lead to HDMI port D and Av3 and assigned to VMEM on remote Everything works ok soundwise and album covers etc displayed. I've tried connecting a cable with red and white plugs to the apple tv audio sockets

  • Re: Apple TV Link Question

Thanks again Razlaw, it sounds as though i have the same sort of set up as you, with Lab 9's, BV 7-40 in the main room and with BL4000's in the link room. I'll grab another cable and have a play! I couldn't find any reference to Apple on the PUC list so it looks like i need to get the guys in to do a software update cheers David

thanks for that info, Razlaw! I bought an apple tv on saturday and spent all weekend trying to work out how to get the link room to work! Is there any noticeable difference in sound quality between the HDMI room and analog link room, do you think? thanks again david

  • Advice on Apple TV

Hi guys - my current set up is Beovision 7-40 mk111, Beosound 3200 and a pair of Beolab 9's. I'm getting slightly frustrated with the 3200 random function as it only chooses tracks from one of the coloured categories rather than from my whole music library. I have resorted to plugging my i-phone into the aux socket and playing music from there
