    I did a complete cleaning of the unit and set up the tonearm. I figured that I might need to access it at a later date, so I used the sticky tack rather than foam tape, and it really works well. <>It's a great pleasure to be a part of these forums. I am a recent collector, and currently have a Beomaster 5000, Beocord 5000 and a CD50 all controlled

    You can get a very good quality foam tape from a shop that sells auto body repair parts and paint. The tape is made by 3M and is used to attach mouldings to the side of a car. It has a foam core and an excellent adhesive, and worked very well on my 6006. Another problem is the aluminum piece that surrounds the platter. It was also held on with tape
