I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume, since you say it's a multiple line system, that they had to do it separately because of that. How big is this thing? It's annoying that they discontinued the 6000 or I'd buy another hand set.

I take it then that the base station isn't a big cradle like on the Beocom 6000? I've not actually seen a picture of this base station. In that case I'm thinking probably they did it this way so they can charge you more!

That's crazy IMO. Definitely puts me off buying a Beo1 when/if my 6000 does eventually die. Which hopefully it won't, ever! lol

Thanks for that. But what about the three pieces of the Beocom 1 (charger, base station and phone), do you actually need all three? Why would B&O DO that?!

Hi folks! I currently own a Mk 1 Beocom 6000, purchased in 1999. It's been fantastic, definitely the best cordless phone I've ever owned. The other day it was monkeying around a little - when i tried to answer the phone it wasn't working so I missed the call, pressing the answer button had no effect.
