  • Re: CX100 Re-Foam

Thanks for critique! I don't notice any problems with the sound in comparison to that of my S45s or Form2 headphones--that said it could change tomorrow or in three months. I don't think the precision factor is as great as what some members have made it out to be. I installed them as logically as I could. Also, I will try posting the pictures

  • CX100 Re-Foam

As promised, Here are some pictures from my CX refoaming project. A few notes--this was the first time I had ever attempted refoaming speakers and I consider myself slightly above average with technical knowledge and I like to learn. The first one came out the best (ironically) and I was disappointed that the others look messy with the glue. The sound

  • Re: I don't think that is supposed to happen... Beomaster 2400

The cloth covers were past their prime so I striped down the frames and glued parts that had broken in preparation to recover them. I have a small apartment with poor ventilation so I will do it at home over the holidays. The CX's are Black and after some thought I decided to stick with the black fabric.

  • I don't think that is supposed to happen... Beomaster 2400

After emailing a few places around NYC to find out where I could get my first Beomaster 2400 diagnosed/repaired I decided that for the same price I could just pickup another one from eBay. With unit number one tucked in storage and unit number two freshly hooked up I thought I was on my way. After tipping the Beomaster (towards the front of the unit

Took the bottom off but I really have no clue what I'm looking at. Is there a tutorial that explains? Otherwise I would have to take it to some place in NYC to have it diagnoised and repaired.

Yes, the power switch is on under the lid and no red dot is on by the stand by switch on the front panel.

  • Beomaster 2400 won't power on

I purchased a used Beomaster 2400 several months ago on eBay and it worked well for about a month (didn't have a chance to use it for a while after purchse). I re-arranged my furniture and unplugged the Beomaster in the process, now that I try to plug it in nothing will turn on. Trying multiple outlets has made not difference and I am at a loss

  • Re: Glue for refoaming CX100s

Okay, I'll keep that in mind for the future. I bought two sets of foams from good hi-fi so I should be all set then.

Should I be worried about the surrounds from hifi?

Here is the link to the thread that used the boat glue: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/36917/305927.aspx#305927 Evan kindly is passing some extra glue along to me. The speakers are on the slow boat from, well, Florida (I'm in NYC) so it will be at least several weeks before I get a chance to attempt this project. The new foams are coming from
