  • Beocord 5000 - drawer won't open, tape won't play

Can anyone help with a spare parts matter? I have opened up the Beocord and found that the drive belt (or belts) had perished. Does anyone have, or know where I can obtain, the right spare parts and some instructions? Cheers!

[quote user="Søren Hammer"] [quote user="Doctor"] Not quite sure what you mean. Do you mean the record does not seem flat on the platter? Or is the platter not flat compared to the deck? The first thing I would check is whether the record is sitting properly on the spindle. Sometimes the hole is not quite big enough and will

  • Beogram 5000 Re-balancing II...?

I have an old Beogram 5000 which is in good condition. I have put a brand new LP on the turntable platter and played it. The record appears to wobble on its vertical axis. • Beogram 5000 re-balancing...?

I think I need to rebalance the turntable on my new / old Beogram 5000. I have played a brand new vinyl record which is perfectly flat, and it is clearly undulating on the turntable. Is it possible to rebalance it myself, and if so how do I do it? Many thanks!

  • Re: Beovox S55 broken

Good advice, BenSA - I am not sure if I am prepared to take the risk of fixing them myself either! I guess it is a job worth doing properly or not at all. I will look into replacing some components too.

Thanks Craig for your speedy advice. I have ordered the foam rings already - I will see if Dillen posts anything!

  • Beovox S55 broken

Hello I have just inherited a wonderful Beosystem 5000 complete with Beovox S55 speakers. However the foam on the woofers has perished. Does anyone know whether (and how) to repair or replace them? Richard
