I have a Beomaster 4400 and the speakers I am using (Magnapans) have an issue and sound terrible so I looked on eBay for B&O speakers and I found these Penta 2s in great shape. But since it is internally amplified, can I successfully use them with the 4400? Do I have to use a line out or tape monitor connection, or can I go right to speaker outputs

I have two semi-working 300-2 type 2402s here on my desk and both of them have hum. I opened them up and both of them had blisters on the terminal side of the big electrolytic capcisotrs. Not the center one of the three but the tow identical outer ones. I just order a complete set of replacement electrolytic capcitors from a fellow Beoworld member.

Hello. Don't mean to hassle you and I realize you may not have gotten around to it yet, but I am still interested in buying the 4400 from you if you have a working unit. I have two dead, open 3000-2 Type 2402s sitting on my desk here with a beogram 4004 and some nice speakers out in my greeting area without any receiver. I should do something, and

Thank-you all for contributing your time to provide help for my 3000. I have an old used one on the way that I bought on eBay from someone in Canada. I paid $140 for it and hopefully between the two of them (his is a 300-2 Type 2402 also) I can get one good Beomaster up and running. But all of this revived interest in my 3000 has gotten me wanting to

Thanks for the reply. You certainly are a wealth of info and also B&O equipment as well it looks like... I bought an old 300-2 Type 2402 on eBay for $140 and I am going to make one good working unit with it. I am still interested in the 4400 as it is more powerful and I am concerned about the 3000-2 driving magnapan IIa electrostaitic loudspeakers

I am looking for aluminum slid rule 300-2 working or not to help make one good Beomaster Type 2402. And I would also like to buy a nice 4400 (higher power brother to the 3000-2) to power my Magnapan IIa speakers. Ready to BUY!!!

Thank-you for insight on pins I will do that. The BM was not warm to the touch in any area after 15 minutes of use (connected to magnapan loudspeakers) with the weak sound being the same with testing using my laptop headdphone out to a 3.5 mm to 5 pin din adapter I bought off eBay. I connected to Phono 1, Phono 2, and Tape input. All threee play the

So I bought a used 4004 TT with 7 Pin connector and my BM 3000-2 has 5 Pin connections. Went to eBay and was searching for adapter/converter and saw an ad for a 5 pin to RCA and in his ad he adds that if you have 7 Pin connector you can....And I not sure what he is saying becasue of language issues, but thought he might be saying you can exclude pins

Have had some sucess in that I get sound out now although at a limited volume with scratchey, thin, weak sound. I am wondering if I still have something shorted that is chocking the pre-amp section or something. But now I found another issue to tackle and I am looking for direction. I bought a beogram 4004 TT for my BM 300-2 and I went to connect it
