Hi, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. You were absolutely right. The woofer surrounds had rotted away. See photo... As a temporary measure i have trimmed the rough edges so that nothing comes into contact and it has made quite a difference. At least there is no buzz. What might the price of a replacement speaker be? It does not look too difficult

I have a pair of 3702 Beovox speakers which have given excellent service for very many years. One of them seems to have developed a minor rattle or buzz, particularly at low frequencies. It sounds as if something may be loose inside the box. These speakers are so beautifully built that I can't see a way to open the box to investigate this rattle
